Roran took a deep breath, trying to steady it mostly as he walked through the forest. Why was he so nervous? It was like any other day... Except for the news he'd been given, and the whole reason for his little hike out to the nearby lake.

“It's... w-what now?” He asked, running a hand through his shaggy brown hair.
“Well, to put simply it's hug a giant day.” Mason shrugged casually with a smile, sitting in the open field by their village, the massive head of a neko beside him. Purrs filled the air as the inu was sat snuggling up against her cheek. “A little something started by some of the kids in the village that's quickly grown into a full on holiday of sorts. We've got so many larger than us that don't get treated right very often, it only felt right.” He finished by turning and kissing her cheek, eliciting more purrs.
